in Cairo, you will admire the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, as well as the Khan El-Khalili Oriental Bazaar. The CITADEL of SALLAH EL-DIN is one of the most famous sights of Cairo. It was built in the 12th century by the Egyptian Sultan Saladin (Salah El-Din). But the heart of the Citadel is the MOSQUE of MUHAMMAD ALI, built in 1830-1837. This mosque has become the emblem of the Cairo district. The mosque is square in plan: the length of each side is 41 meters. The walls of the mosque are decorated with alabaster. The tomb of Muhammad Ali Pasha is located on the right side of the entrance door to the mosque. It is made of white marble, decorated with various ornaments and covered with gilded inscriptions. At the end of the 19th century, the mosque began to collapse and it was reinforced with iron belts. The Alabaster mosque, located in the heart of the Egyptian capital, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Cairo. After visiting the Citadel and the Mosque, you will see the KHAN EL-KHALILI BAZAAR. This is the largest bazaar in the East. The bazaar is located two kilometers west of the Nile. It occupies a huge territory — about 5 thousand square meters. For the first time, the KHAN EL-KHALILI bazaar was mentioned at the end of the 13th century. Previously , the caravanserai used to be located on this site. The "royal" name appeared a century later during the reign of Prince El-Khalili. You are not given much time, but you will have the opportunity to touch the origins of trading. Here you will immediately feel the smell of spices, fruits, fried meat… You will see a large number of cozy coffee shops. Have a cup of charming oriental coffee! You will feel a surge of strength and you will understand that KHAN EL-KHALILI is a real oriental fairy tale. We hope you will make pleasant purchases here, do not forget to haggle with the sellers! During the two—day tour of Cairo, you will have meals: lunch and dinner on the first day; breakfast and lunch on the second day.
