Cairo‎: Overnight Trip to Saint Catherine Monastery

On a two-day tour from Cairo to the Sinai Desert, visit Egypt’s most important biblical sites.

Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel on the first day, and then proceed to Saint Catherine. Travel through the Suez Canal, a world-famous canal that connects Africa and Asia. Pass by the Oyun Musa, or Moses Spring, where the prophet discovered sweet water during the Egyptian exodus.

Stop for lunch at your own expense at a local restaurant before arriving in the Saint Catherine area. Check into the St. Catherine Plaza Hotel and relax for the evening, which includes dinner.

The following night, at 2:00 a.m., you will begin your ascent to Mount Sinai. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting out with a local Bedouin guide to climb the mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments.

When you reach the bottom, meet your guide, who will take you on a tour of Saint Catherine’s Monastery. See the Biblical story of the burning bush. After that, you will be transferred back to your Cairo hotel.
