Discover the “Djoser bent Pyramid,” the earliest pyramid ever constructed in Egypt, which served as a model for the pyramids at Giza and Dahshur.
Visit Sakkara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which was constructed during the 3rd Dynasty in 2600 BC, first. It was constructed for king Djoser and is thought to be the oldest stone building.
Continue on to Memphis, which served as Old Egypt’s first capital, to see the Ramses II statue. You will stop at the Red Pyramid and the Bent Dahshur Pyramid on your route south.
