About this activity

On a two-day tour from Cairo, see the best of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, the Karnak and Luxor Temples, and the Hatshepsut Temple. Prior to taking a flight back to Cairo, take a felucca ride on the Nile.

Day 1:

The event will start with a 6:00 AM airport pickup from your Cairo hotel and a transfer to the airport. Simply keep an eye out for a sign with your name on it after your land to find your knowledgeable tour guide. Visit the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank to begin the tour right away. Here, you’ll find the tombs of numerous dynasties, including the Temple of Deir El Bahari. Admire the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Amenophis III that are seated and facing the Nile. Visit the renowned Temple of Queen Hatshepsut as well before dining at a nearby restaurant for lunch (beverages not included).
Continue to the East Bank after lunch to witness Ramses the Great’s granite statues and the courtyard of the Luxor Temple. Admire the collection of temples that make up Karnak—they were constructed during various eras. Explore the Unfinished Propylon and the Hypo-style hall with its 134 enormous columns, starting with the Avenue of Sphinxes. Admire the Sacred Lake, the Granite Scarab of Amenophis III, the Queen Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis III Obelisks, the Temple of Amon decorated with lotus and papyrus patterns. Finally, make the transfer to  Hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 2:

A certified tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to the West Bank of the Nile in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Visit the ancient site of Medinat Habu, which is located opposite the contemporary city of Luxor, Egypt, close to the foot of the Theban Hills.

Although there are additional buildings in the vicinity, the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III is the main landmark connected with the location today. The 492-foot-tall temple has an orthodox design and has a striking resemblance to Ramesses II’s mortuary temple (the Ramesseum). The Temple of Amun, which was constructed in the 18th Dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, is one of the other temples that can be seen inside Habu Temple. The Valley of the Worker, also known as Deir el Medina, is the next stop on your day trip. Transfer to Cairo airport later for your return flight, where you will be dropped off at your hotel after arrival.
